ive heard of many assasin builds that are targeted towards killing dervs, does anyone know one? i would really appreciate some help, ty ^^!

I don't know any of them, but Shattering assault could prove good, if you are backed up with the healing to with stand any AoE enchantments, but things like Myst regen and Derv tanking skill are easy to counter with good enchant removal.

Shroud of Silence, Expunge enchantments
Shattering assault
Temple Strike
Golden SKull/Jaw Strike

if you went in to speciffically counter dervishes its not hard

You could go A/D with Ebon Dust Aura and use earth daggers.

use skills in this order
gaze of contempt
mark of instability
iron palm
black lotus strike
twisting fangs
falling spider
horns of the ox

I have never seen a derv trot away from this combo, it disenchants completly and prevents them from enchanting again. If you to it right, they will not even be able to attack.

Unless you're facing a team Dervish, which uses nearly no Enchantments.

eh, i kill dervs with my normal build o_O i put on crit defense and they can't hit me, and most of them don't disenchant themselves.

even with enchants they die o.o *shruggers*

There are Dervishes that are practically a copy of the old stereotype Assassins. ("ZOMG! I have a BIG SCYTHE!" or "Look at me! I'm Zasalamel!"). These just die :P

hhhhmmm interesting twice now in a thread about beating a derv two ppl sugest a derv elite ~_~

also what is the need? teleport away and kill a nice squishie ^_^

Alternatively.... and I'm aware this is a rather impractical choice but is kinda fun sometimes.... secondary Mesmer.... Shatterstorm before jumping in (because certain enchants cause AoE on end) and then give 'em a normal combo. The long downtime isn't anything new to the average assassin anyway.

Never used it myself... Just figured I'd suggest it in case anyone wanted to test and see if it really worked. =P ... I just avoid attacking tough mesmers with my assassin (but then I don't take him into PvP anyway; I use my Necro for that).
